Trident’s new Iceni sportscar sounds like a dream machine – the Norfolk-based low volume carmaker claims its two-seater grand tourer can top 200mph, swings with a 550bhp turbo-enhanced punch for a sub-four second sprint to 60mph and can return up to 100mpg for a claimed 2000 mile range on a full tank of fuel! Oh, and did we mention that fuel is biodiesel?What? That sounds amazing!Hold your horses there.
It seems Land Rover is having second thoughts about making the Range Rover Evoque Convertible – shown at Geneva 2012 – in to a production model. But the one model we really couldn’t find a lot of positives in was the Range Rover Evoque Convertible – which arrived as a concept at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show – looking like the ultimate statement of Chav central for Tango’d ‘Ladies’ who lunch, from Brentwood via Surrey and up to Cheshire. We understood Land Rover’s impetus – they thought there’d be a market for a drop-top Evoque – but it really was a step too far for Land Rover to go.
The MINI Countryman Cooper S Diesel
The prospect of a more powerful diesel for MINI has been around for a while. In fact it’s almost exactly a year since we brought you a spy photo of the MINI Cooper S Diesel which we reckoned would sport somewhere around 140bhp and a useful wodge of torque.
